WHOIS
Why a domain is taken but has no website
A domain can be registered without an active website. It may be reserved, used only for email, have DNS without web hosting or be waiting for configuration.

Domain and website are not the same
A domain can exist without showing any web page.
Domain registration only reserves the name. The website depends on other services: DNS, hosting, forwarding or an external platform.
Common reasons
A domain may be taken but have no website because:
- it is reserved for later use;
- it is used only for email;
- DNS does not point to a website;
- the website is disabled or under construction;
- forwarding is misconfigured;
- the domain is parked;
- the web server is not responding.
Not seeing a page does not mean the domain is available.
How to check
A WHOIS lookup can show whether the domain is registered. You can also review the published DNS servers.
If WHOIS says the domain exists, it usually cannot be purchased as a new domain even if the browser shows nothing.
