A code to authorise the transfer
The Auth-Code, also called transfer code, EPP code or authorization code, authorises moving a domain to another provider.
It is not your account password. It is a code specific to the domain and transfer.
Who provides it
The Auth-Code is normally provided by the current domain provider or registrar.
If you want to transfer a domain to PRIMARI.NET, request it from the provider where the domain is currently registered.
If you want to transfer a domain away from PRIMARI.NET, request it from the domain management area or contact PRIMARI.NET.
Why it must be protected
The code allows a transfer to be started. Do not publish it or send it to people who should not manage the domain.
If you think the code was shared by mistake, request a new one from the current provider if the extension allows it.
How it is used at PRIMARI.NET
When you start a transfer in Transfer domain, PRIMARI.NET asks for the Auth-Code.
The system uses it to submit the request to the relevant registry or provider. If the code is wrong, expired or does not match the domain, the transfer may fail.
When to contact PRIMARI.NET
Contact PRIMARI.NET if you are unsure whether the code is correct, if the current provider will not provide it or if you need the code for a domain already managed at PRIMARI.NET.
