How to configure email in Outlook
In Outlook, PRIMARI.NET email is usually configured with IMAP, incoming server imap.primari.net and authenticated SMTP for sending.

Before you start
You need the full email address, the mailbox password and the server details.
If you are not sure the password is correct, first try logging in at webmail.primari.net.
Recommended configuration
In most cases we recommend IMAP:
- incoming account:
IMAP; - incoming server:
imap.primari.net; - outgoing server: the SMTP server indicated by the email service;
- username: full email address;
- password: mailbox password;
- authentication enabled also for the outgoing server.
Outlook may try to detect settings automatically. If it fails, choose manual setup and review the outgoing server carefully.
After configuring
Send a test message and reply to it from another address. This checks both sending and receiving.
Common errors
If you can receive but not send, review SMTP and authentication. If you can send but not receive, review MX, DNS and whether the mailbox exists.
When to contact PRIMARI.NET
Contact us if Outlook asks for the password repeatedly, if sending fails or if you are not sure which outgoing server belongs to your domain.
