What does webmail mean?
Webmail is a way to access email from a web browser.
Instead of configuring an email app on a phone or computer, you open a web page, log in with the mailbox username and password, and read, send and manage messages there.
At PRIMARI.NET, webmail is useful when you want to check quickly whether a mailbox works, when you are away from your usual device or when the account has not yet been configured on a phone or computer.
Where is PRIMARI.NET webmail?
You can open it directly at:
https://webmail.primari.net
You will also find Webmail links in PRIMARI.NET page footers.
This access is for email accounts hosted at PRIMARI.NET. If your domain uses another mail provider, such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or an external server, PRIMARI.NET webmail will not show that mail.
What details do you need?
You need:
- the mailbox username;
- the current mailbox password;
- the domain email service active at PRIMARI.NET.
In some PRIMARI.NET services, the email username can have a different format from the visible email address, for example with % instead of @. If login fails, check the account details in the panel or contact PRIMARI.NET.
What is it useful for?
Webmail is useful to:
- read received messages;
- send email;
- check whether the password is correct;
- tell whether a problem is in the mailbox or in the phone configuration;
- read mail when your usual email program is not configured;
- check folders such as inbox, sent, trash or spam, depending on the mailbox setup.
It is especially useful before configuring email on a phone. If webmail works but the phone does not, the mailbox is probably fine and the device configuration needs review.
Webmail or an email program?
Webmail does not necessarily replace an email program. They are two different ways to access the same mailbox.
Webmail is practical because nothing needs to be installed. You only need a browser.
An email program, such as a phone mail app, Thunderbird, Apple Mail or Outlook, is more convenient if you use the account every day and want notifications, device integration or several accounts in one place.
For regular use, we usually recommend configuring the account with IMAP, because mail stays synchronized with the server and can also be read from webmail.
When to contact PRIMARI.NET
Contact PRIMARI.NET if you are not sure which username to use, if webmail rejects a password that you believe is correct or if the account works in webmail but not on the phone or in an email program.
Tell us the domain, the affected mailbox and the error message you see. Do not send the password by email.
